CINCINNATI - Xavier women's soccer (11-1-1; 4-1-0 BIG EAST) heads back out on the road to face Seton Hall on Sunday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m. for the first of back-to-back road matches. The Musketeers currently sit on top of the BIG EAST standings midway through the 10-game conference schedule.
Xavier remains on the road for its next match, traveling to Chicago to face DePaul on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 4:00 p.m. ET. All BIG EAST matches this season will be available through FloSports.

- Following two-shutout BIG EAST wins over the weekend, Xavier women's soccer picked up a pair of weekly honor for its defense, with Hayley Jakovich earning BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week and goalkeeper Olivia Jenkins earning a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
- Hayley Jakovich, who is originally from Eureka, Mo., played the full time in both of Xavier's wins, a 3-0 victory against Villanova on Thursday and a 2-0 win over Creighton on Sunday. The senior helped the Musketeers outshoot Villanova and Creighton by a 40-9 margin, including 18-3 on goal. Jakovich also scored the game-winning goal against the Bluejays on Sunday, scoring her first goal of the season less than five minutes into the contest.
- Olivia Jenkins, who is from Plainfield, Ill. went 2-0-0 with two shutout wins over the weekend, collecting three total saves against Villanova and at Creighton. The win over the Bluejays was the tenth win of the season in-goal for the senior, setting a new school record for wins in a single season.

- Ella Rogers'Â third goal as a Musketeer helped Xavier women's soccer pick up a 1-0 win over St. John's at Corcoran Field on Thursday evening.Â
- The Musketeers held an 11-2 advantage on shots and 5-0 advantage on shots in the first half but neither team found the back of the net to send it to halftime in a 0-0 draw.
- Less than five minute after the break, Ella Rogers scored from Chloe Netzel to put the Musketeers in front with the eventual game-winner. SJU created five shots, including two on-goal and a corner kick in the second half but were unable to find the equalizer to give Xavier its third-straight shutout win.
- Ella Rogers'Â goal was her third of the season and her first game-winner. She now has six points so far in her freshman season.
- Chloe Netzel added to her team-high point total with an assist on Rogers' goal, her second helper of the season, to go with four goals for 10 points.
- Xavier finished with an 18-7 advantage overall on shots and a 6-3 advantage on shots on-frame. Chloe Netzel finished with seven shots to lead the Musketeers and Ella Rogers had four.
- Olivia Jenkins collected a pair of saves to pick up her 11th win of the season, adding to her already school-record total for wins in a single season.
- Hayley Jakovich and Grace Brauer also played the full 90 minutes for the Xavier backline to help pick up the seventh shutout of the season and third clean sheet in a row. The Musketeer defense has clocked 270-straight minutes without allowing a score.

- Chloe Netzel picked up her second assist on the season on Ella Rogers' game-winner against St. John's, combining with a team-high four goals for 10 points.
- Emma Marcus knocked in the game-winner against Villanova in the first five minutes of the match, her third goal of the season, all three were game-winners, which ranks third in the BIG EAST. She has eight points on three goal and two assists.
- Shelby Sallee's second-half goal against Creighton was her third of the season and second of BIG EAST play. Combined with an assist, she has seven points on the season.
- Ella Rogers scored her third goal of the season, and first game-winner, in the win over St. John's to give her six points so far in her freshman season. She matches Shelby Sallee for a team-high two goals in conference action.

- Jakovich and Brauer have anchored Xavier's backline, playing the full time in all 13 matches so far, helping limit opponents to just seven goals through over 1200 minutes of action.
- Olivia Jenkins has made all 13 starts in frame, playing the full time in each match. She's collected 32 saves, including making a career-high seven against Providence, and has seven goals against for a GAA of 0.52 and a record of 12-1-1 with seven complete shutouts. Jenkins' 12 wins are a new program record for wins in a single season for a Xavier goalkeeper.
- Xavier's seven goals allowed and 0.54 GAA for the season matches Georgetown for the league-best mark.

- The Musketeers came in at No. 8 in the most recent DI Women's Soccer RPI, leading four BIG EAST teams in the top 40 for the week, Georgetown (25), Butler (29) and Providence (32).Â
- Xavier is currently receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll. The. Musketeers moved up to a program-best ranking of 17 in week four (9/14/21) after going 2-0 against Ball State and Loyola Chicago the weekend before to move to 7-0 on the season.
- The Musketeers made their first appearance of the season in the USC National Poll in week three (9/7/21), entering the rankings at No. 23, marking the first time the Musketeers have been ranked in the USC National Poll since finishing the 2019 season at No. 24.Â
- Xavier also moved up to the No. 1 spot in the East region in week three, after being at No. 3 in the region for week two. The Musketeers remained at No. 1 in the region until week five, when Hofstra moved up to No. 1. Xavier is currently ranked No. 4 in the East Region.

- Following the spring season, two Musketeers earned all conference honors, All-BIG EAST Second Team honoree, senior midfielder Molly McLaughlin, and All-Freshman Team member, forward Sonia Vargas.
