Musketeers face Penn State, Michigan, Kentucky and Ohio State in hidden dual format
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis travels up I-71 to take part in the Buckeye Invite this weekend, taking part in a hidden dual hosted by Ohio State, featuring Kentucky, Michigan and Penn State. Play is set to begin on Friday, Oct. 14 at 12:30 p.m. and run through Sunday, Oct. 16 in Columbus, Ohio.
BUCKEYE INVITE
Friday, Oct. 14 - Sunday, Oct. 16
FORMAT: Each day will feature doubles and singles, set up in a hidden dual format. Teams will face off in two doubles matches and four singles matches.
LOCATION: Columbus, Ohio
VENUE: Ty Tucker Tennis Center (Inside) or Auer Tennis Complex (Outdoor) - Dependent on weather
ADMISSION: Free
TEAMS: Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Xavier
SCHEDULE: Play is slated to start at 12 PM on Friday and 11 AM on Saturday on Sunday. Play will begin with #1 and #2 doubles, followed by #1 and #2 singles, then followed by #3 and# 4 singles.

FALL RESULTS |
- The duo of Imani Graham and Kat Lyman traveled to the ITA All-American Championship in Cary, N.C., competing in doubles competition together and also take part in the singles bracket.
- In doubles play, the pair advanced to the round of 16 after Chiho Mushika and Arianna Capogrosso from the University of San Francisco withdrew, moving on to face Charlotte Owensby and Maxi Duncan of Harvard.
- In the round of 16, Graham and Lyman took an 8-4 win over the duo from Harvard, advancing to the quarterfinals of the pre-qualifying bracket.
- In the quarterfinals, the Musketeers faced Melodi Collard and Sara Ziodato of Virginia on Sunday, falling 8-2
- Kat Lyman advanced to the second round in singles play, facing Bente Spee from Florida in the first round and taking a 7-6 (4), 6-3, 6-3 win to advance to the round of 64 in women's open singles. In the second round of action, Lyman faced Katherine Duong from Illinois on Sunday, Oct. 2, falling 6-2, 6-3.
- In singles play, Imani Graham faced Melodie Collard of UVA in the first round, falling 7-5, 6-2.
- Xavier also took part in the UC/Pam Whiltehead Invitational last weekend, collecting 16 total wins during the two-day event facing Cincinnati, Miami (Ohio) and Purdue.
- The Musketeers swept the host Bearcats, collecting seven wins. Xavier went 2-0 in Friday's doubles action then 5-0 in singles play on Saturday.
- Against Purdue, Xavier split doubles play 1-1, and picked up three more singles wins against the Boilermakers on Saturday, going 3-2.
- Xavier went 5-0 against Miami in singles play on Friday, but went 0-2 in doubles action with the RedHawks on Saturday.
- Three Musketeers, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Abby Nugent and Emily Flowers, went 3-0 in singles play for the weekend, while Abigail Siminski and Paulina Franco Martinessi both went 2-1.

- The Musketeers wrapped up the 2022 spring season at 14-10 overall, brought home the program's third overall and second-straight BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's third bid to the NCAA Championships.
- Xavier returned five letterwinners from last season's BIG EAST Championship squad, including All-BIG EAST selection Imani Graham, who went 14-6 in dual play last year, playing primarily in the No. 2 spot.
- The Musketeers also bring back Kat Lyman, Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu and Bella Kirby from last season's BIG EAST Championship squad.
- Xavier also adds four-person freshman class, Emily Flowers, Paulina Franco Martinessi, Abby Nugent and Abigail Siminski.

- The Musketeers will wrap up the fall schedule at the ITA Fall Regional, held at Tennessee, running Oct. 20-24.
