CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis travels south to take part in the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals, hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn. The event gets underway on Thursday, Oct. 16 and runs through Tuesday, Oct. 21.

The tournament gets underway on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. with qualifying singles at Tennessee's Goodfriend Tennis Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

TOURNAMENT INFO

Matches will be held at Tennessee's Goodfriend Tennis Center in Knoxville, Tenn.
Each of the 2025 ITA Men's and Women's Division I Regional Championships will have a draw size of the following:
- Singles: Minimum of 64 Main Draw, Minimum of 64 Qualifying
- Doubles: Minimum of 32 Main Draw, Minimum of 32 Qualifying
The two singles finalists from each region will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champion from each region will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

The final full squad event will be the Michigan State Invite, running from Friday, Oct. 31, through Sunday, Nov. 2 in East Lansing, Mich.
Select student-athletes will take part in the ITA Conference Masters Championships, played in San Diego or the NCAA Sectional Championships in Baton Rouge, La., both running from Nov. 6-9.
The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, which will run Nov. 18-23 in Orlando, Fla.

THE MUSKETEERS

Xavier returns eight players from last season's BIG EAST Championship winning squad, including senior Abby Nugent, a 2025 All-BIG EAST First Team selection, and 2025 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and All-BIG EAST Second Team selection Madeleine Rexroat.
Sophomore Clara Owen, who partnered with Nugent as one of the top doubles team in the country, returns, as well as seniors Abigail Siminski and Emily Flowers, juniors Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato, and sophomore Natalie Smitek.
The Musketeers added freshman Ella DeFord, a five-star recruit from Mount Pleasant, S.C., to the roster.
Xavier finished the 2025 dual season at 14-9 and won the program's fifth-straight and sixth overall BIG EAST Championship, earning the program's sixth bid to the NCAA Championships.
