No. 12 Xavier Remains Unbeaten, Plays St. John's to Scoreless Draw

QUEENS, N.Y. - No. 12 Xavier men's soccer played St. John's to a scoreless draw on Wednesday night at Belson Stadium. The Musketeers remain unbeaten with a 7-0-4 (1-0-3 BIG EAST) record, while the Red Storm moved to (3-6-2, 1-2-1 BIG EAST).
Xavier's 11-match unbeaten streak to start the season is the longest unbeaten streak to start a season since 2012 (The Musketeers started the year 10-0-4 before losing a match).

• Xavier took 11 more shots (15-4) than the Red Storm, including a 6-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Musketeers also took three more corner kicks (7-4) and committed four more fouls (13-9).Â
• Nicolas Hald Willumsen led the Musketeers in shots with four (one on goal). Ernest Mensah Jr. added three shots (one on goal), while Alejandro Steinwascher and Cameron Wheeler each recorded two shots.
• Xavier has not allowed a goal in 348 minutes of action. The last time the Musketeers surrendered a goal was on Sept. 20 at Evansville (12th minute via a penalty kick).
• Cole Jensen (7-0-4) posted his conference-leading seventh shutout of the season. He made one save in 90 minutes between the pipes. The Council Bluffs, Iowa, native currently ranks third in Xavier single-season school history for shutouts (7).
