OXFORD, Ohio - Xavier women's tennis ended an 11-game win streak for Cincinnati, topping the Bearcats 6-1 at Eastern Hills on Saturday evening. The win was the third-straight for Xavier over Cincinnati.

The Musketeers, now 8-7, return to action on Sunday, hosting Cleveland State at the Camargo Racquet Club.

THE MATCH

In doubles action, Xavier took the first decision, with Ahmeir Kyle and Emily Thomas taking a 6-3 win on the No. 1 court. The final two decisions came down to tiebreakers, with Anna Roggenburk and Imani Graham falling 7-6 (2) on the No. 2 court and Anna Smith and Kat Lyman falling 7-6 (3) on the No. 3 court to give UC a 1-0 lead with the doubles point.

Emily Thomas picked up her second win of the day to draw even with the Bearcats, taking the No. 6 spot, 6-2, 6-3, to pull the Musketeers even at 1-1.

Imani Graham's 6-0, 6-4 win on the No. 2 court put the Musketeers in front 2-1, and Xavier never relinquished the lead. Kat Lyman pushed the Xavier advantage to 3-1 wiht a 6-3, 6-3 win on the No. 3 court.

Ahmeir Kyle bounced back after falling in the first set to take a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 win on the No. 1 court to clinch the win at 4-1.

The Musketeers continued their dominance on the singles courts, picking up two set wins on the final two courts with Anna Roggenburk winning on No. 4, 6-3, 6-4, and Anna Smith taking the No. 5 court, 7-6 (3), 6-4 to set the final score at 6-1 Musketeers.
