Women's Tennis Falls 4-3 to Marquette

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis fell 4-3 to Marquette on Saturday afternoon. The Musketeers wrap up the regular season on Saturday, facing DePaul at 12:15 p.m. ET in Chicago.

In doubles action, Marquette took the first decision, a 6-2 win over Ahmeir Kyle and Emily Thomas on the No. 1 court and Xavier drew even wiht a 6-3 win on the No. 2 court for Kat Lyman and Imani Graham. Marquette secured the point with a 6-3 win over Anne-Sophie Courteau and Anna Smith on the No. 3 court.
Xavier tied it up 1-1 with the first singles decision, a 6-1, 6-1 win on the No. 3 court for Kat Lyman, and took the 2-1 lead on a 6-2, 6-2 win for Emily Thomas on the No. 6 court.
The Golden Eagles drew even with a 0-6, 6-3, 6-2 win on the No. 1 court over Ahmeir Kyle before Xavier retook the lead, 3-2, with a 2-6, 6-0, 6-0 win for Imani Graham on the No. 2 court.
Marquette tied it 3-3 with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 win over Blessing Nwaozuzu on the No. 5 court, then sealed the 4-3 win with a 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 win over Anna Smith on the No. 3 court.
