Women's Golf Travels to Golfweek Red Sky Classic

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's golf continues its fall season at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic on Sept. 26-28. The three-day tournament is being held at Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colo.
Xavier is competing at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic for the third time since 2019. The Musketeers placed tied for 12th last season on Sept. 27-29 with a score of 598 (+22).
The tournament was limited to only two rounds of golf over three days due to inclement weather.

• Xavier opened the fall season with a fourth-place finish at the Jennifer Duke Invitational hosted by Cincinnati at Losantiville CC. The Musketeers hit 305 (+58).
• Emma McMyler won the individual title at the Jennifer Duke Invitational. She tied Sophia Carlsen (Coastal Carolina) as both players hit 220 (+7) over three rounds of golf. McMyler would go on to birdie the playoff hole (hole 18) to secure the individual title.
• Emma McMyler now has 11 career top-10 finishes as a Musketeer with three medalist performances.
• Head coach Breanna Jenco returns for her eighth season with the Musketeers. She earned BIG EAST Coach of the Year honors in the spring of 2022, picking up the accolades for the fourth time in her career.
• Xavier enters the season as the three-time defending BIG EAST Champions. The Musketeers won the the conference title on April 23, finishing 14 strokes ahead of Georgetown in the team standings. Xavier also advanced to its third straight NCAA Regional.
• Xavier returns eight letterwinners, including all five members of the BIG EAST Championship roster: Abby Kiefer, Emma McMyler, Kara Carter, Abby Whittington and Nathaly Munnicha.
• Abby Kiefer and Emma McMyler tied for first place at the BIG EAST Championships. McMyler was also named the BIG EAST Golfer of the Year for the second time in as many seasons, while Kara Carter picked up All-BIG EAST honors alongside McMyler.
