No. 24 Women's Soccer Plays Seton Hall to Draw

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - No. 24 Xavier women's soccer remains unbeaten in BIG EAST action after playing Seton Hall to a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon. Xavier moves to 9-2-2 overall and 2-0-2 in BIG EAST play with the tie.
Xavier held a 6-2 advantage on shots in the first 45 minutes, but the game went into halftime still scoreless. In the second half, Seton Hall got on the board first, with SHU's Natalie Tavana scoring her league-high 10th goal of the season less than 10 minutes after the break.
The Musketeers scored the equalizer midway through the second half, with Regan Dancer setting up Sonia Vargas for the goal to tie the match at 1-1. Xavier out-shot the Pirates 7-2 over the final 24 minutes of the match but were unable to find the go-ahead goal, setting the final score at 1-1.
Xavier returns home to host No. 11 Georgetown on Thursday, Oct. 5 at Corcoran Field. The Musketeers and Hoyas will face off at 7:00 p.m. on FS1.
