CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 3-2, host the Bryant University Bulldogs, 3-3, on Friday at noon at Cintas Center. Xavier, which is opening a six-game homestand, is coming off an impressive 66-49 win over WCC preseason favorite Saint Mary's on Sunday at the Continental Tire Main Event in Las Vegas.

Bryant, which is coming off a 67-61 win over Howard on Monday, won 61-52 at then-No. 10 FAU on Nov. 18.

• Xavier, which has played its last three games away from home, opens a six-game homestand against Bryant. XU is coming off a 66-49 win over Saint Mary's on Sunday.
• Xavier sophomore Desmond Claude leads the team at 16.4 ppg. after five games., including 15.0 ppg., 5.0 rpg. and 4.5 apg. for the two games in Las Vegas. Claude, the only returnee from last season that has played this season, averaged 4.7 ppg. as a freshman.
• Xavier graduate student Quincy Olivari earned a spot on the Continental Tire Main Event All-Tournament Team after averaging 12.5 points and a team-high 7.0 rebounds for XU's two games in Las Vegas.
• Xavier senior Dayvion McKnight led the team with 14 points in the Saint Mary's win to go with five rebounds and four assists.
• Xavier head coach Sean Miller won his 150th game as the Xavier head coach on Sunday vs. Saint Mary's. Miller holds a 150-59 (.718) mark in his seventh season leading Xavier, which is good for third place on Xavier's all-time wins list.
• Xavier has held its first five opponents to 35.8 percent shooting from the field. XU held Saint Mary's to 25.7 percent shooting.
• Xavier has 10 newcomers on the 2023-24 roster, including six freshmen and four transfers. All 10 newcomers have played this season. Freshman Lazar Djokovic, who sat out the first three games with a hand injury, saw his first game action in Las Vegas.
• Xavier has three international players on its 2023-24 roster, including freshmen Lazar Djokovic (Serbia) and Saša Ciani (Slovenia) and senior Gytis Nemeikša (Lithuania).
