Musketeers travel to Purdue next Friday

MUNCIE, Ind. - Xavier men's tennis fell 6-1 at Ball State on Friday afternoon, moving to 6-3 on the season.

The Musketeers are back in action on Friday, February 24, traveling to Purdue. The Musketeers and the Boilermakers are set for at 3:00 p.m. start

THE MATCH

In doubles play, Ball State took a 6-3 decision over Ryan Cahill and Deacon Thomas on the No. 1 court, a 6-2 decision on the No. 2 court against Cambell Nakayama and Pascal Mosberger, and a 6-3 decision on the No. 3 court, against Charlie Temming and Jorge Santamaria to secure the point.

In singles, BSU made it a 2-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Kyle Totorica on court No. 4 and a 3-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Jorge Santamaria on the No. 6 court. A 6-3, 6-4 win over Marco Pennelli on the No. 5 court sealed the match win for Ball State.

Ball State took a 6-7 (2-7), 6-2, 6-2 win on the No. 1 court against Ryan Cahill and a 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (8-10), 1-0 (10-0) win on the No. 3 court against Cambell Nakayama.

Xavier picked up a point on the No. 2 court, a 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 (5) win for Deacon Thomas.
