Women's Tennis Takes 4-3 Win Over James Madison

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis picked up a 4-3 win over James Madison on Sunday at Eastern Hills, moving to 4-4 overall and 2-0 in home matches.
The Musketeers are set to travel to Michigan State to face the host Spartans and Illinois State next weekend.
In doubles, JMU took the first decision, a 6-2 win on the No. 2 court againts Anna Roggenburk and Imani Graham. Kat Lyman and Abby Nugent combined for a 6-2 win on the No. 1 court, and Emily Flowers and Paulina Franco Martinessi took a 6-4 win on the No. 3 court to seal the win.
Abby Nugent made it a 2-0 Xavier lead with a 6-4, 6-1 win over No. 125 Ines Oliveira on the No. 3 court.
James Madison cut the Xavier lead back to 2-1 with a 6-2, 6-2 win against Anna Roggenburk on the No. 4 court, but Kat Lyman pushed it back to a two-point advantage with a 7-5, 6-2 win on the No. 2 court.
JMU pulled back within one, 3-2, with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-0 win on No. 5 against Abigail Siminski before Imani Graham sealed the match for the Musketeers with a come-back win on the No. 1 court, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.
James Madison took the final decision, a 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (4) win over Emily Flowers on court No. 6.
