Swimming Wins Three Events, Sets Two New School Records on Day Three at BIG EAST

Men remain in second, women move up to fourth win one day remaining
On the men's side, Xavier collected three event championships, including two NCAA B-Cut times, both new school records. The Musketeers moved into the top spot for most of the finals session before the final diving event on the men side propelled Georgetown back in front with one day remaining.
On the women's side, four Musketeers earned All-Conference with a bronze finish in the 400 medley relay, helping Xavier move up to fourth place with one day of competition remaining.
The 2022 BIG EAST Championship is set to wrap up on Saturday, with prelims set for 10 a.m.

WOMEN'S NOTABLE |
- Emily Guerrera earned a spot in the Championship final of the 400 IM, placing seventh with a time of 4:26.60. Kate Lair scored in 11th, competing in the B-final and Sydney Smith took the top spot in the bonus final.
- Erin Ritz set the top time during prelims, earning a spot in the Championship final where she placed fourth with a time of 54.68. Hannah Pugh and Sophia Romero took part in the consolation final.
- Kali Fischer and Clara Keiser competed in the Championship final of the 200 free, placing fourth and fifth respectively. Alexis Worrall and Mary Sweetman took part in the B-final and Olivia Oyster competed in the bonus final.
- Four Musketeers earned a spot in the B-final of the 100 breast, with Julianne Libler leading the way, taking the top spot in the heat with a time of 1:04.49. Kate Lair, Clare Bosse and Emma Amon also took part in the consolation final.
- Brooke Atkins competed in the Championship final of the 100 back, placing fifth with a time of 55.72. Amy Van Son and Reese Turner took part in the consolation final.
- Brooke Atkins, Julianne Libler, Erin Ritz and Olivia Oyster earned a third-place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:45.20.
- Xavier moved up to fourth place with 640 points.

MEN'S NOTABLE |
- Jack Parker opened the finals session with a BIG EAST Championship in the 400 IM, besting his own school record and hitting the NCAA B-Cut mark with a time of 3:50.15. Park led a trio of Musketeers in the top three, with Nathan Wall coming in second with a time of 3:52.97 and Michael Benington placing third with a time of 3:53.18. Jon Mason took part in the B-final as an exhibition swimmer.
- Aiden Leamer placed third in the 100 fly with a time of 48.37. Roark Lundal touched just behind him, placing fourth with a time of 48.55, and Caleb Petranchuk placed seventh with a time of 48.82.
- Andrew Martin won the BIG EAST Title in the 200 free for a third-straight year, setting a time of 1:36.65 in the process. Kyle Hudson also took part in the Championship final, setting a time of 1:38.01 to place fourth. Matt Adanin and Ethan Wing took part in the B-final.
- Ethan Saunders repeated as the BIG EAST Champion in the 100 breast, setting a new school record and NCAA B-Cut time of 53.70. Roark Lundal placed eighth in the Championship final, setting a time of 56.01. Will Serad took the top spot in the consolation final and Caleb Petranchuk also took part in the B-final
- Matthew Adanin led Xavier in the 100 back, placing fourth in the Championship final with a time of 49.78. Aiden Neuman placed sixth with a time of 50.02 and Gage Hannewyk finished seventh in a time of 50.22. Davis Klein took part in the consolation final.
- Xavier picked up a third-place finish in the 400 medley relay, with Matthew Adanin, Ethan Saunders, Aiden Leamer and Andrew Martin finishing in 3:15.64.
- After moving into the top spot after the first race, Xavier remained in first until the diving competition, moving back to second place with 528.5 points, trailing Georgetown's 564 points, after 12 racing events and a pair of diving events Xavier did not take part in. Diving has concluded on the men's side.
