Xavier moved to 1-1-1 on the year following the loss
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Xavier men's soccer dropped a 3-0 match at No. 5 Marshall on Friday night at Hoops Family Field.
The Musketeers moved to 1-1-1 on the year, while the Thundering Herd improved to 3-0-0 on the year.

• Marshall held a 17-3 advantage in shots and took one more shot on goal (4-3) than the Musketeers. Seydou Diop, Jerome Jolly and Grayson Elmquist all took a shot for Xavier. Alvaro Garcia-Pascual led Marshall with seven shots.
• The Musketeers committed one more foul (15-14) than Marshall and had the match's only yellow card in the 58th minute (Seydou Diop). Marshall also took two more corner kicks (5-3) than Xavier.
• Marshall has now scored 12 goals in three matches this season. The Thundering Herd have not allowed a goal this season. Xavier was held without a goal in a match for the first time this season.
• Jonny Mennell (1-1-1) made one save on the night in goal. Gabriel Perrotta (3-0-0) made two saves in goal for Marshall.
• Defender Dylan Kropp and goalkeeper Jonny Mennell were the only two Musketeers to play the entire 90 minutes on Friday night.
• Xavier moved to 8-6-2 against top-10 United Soccer Coaches' Poll teams since the start of the 2010 season.
