CINCINNATI - Xavier men's soccer dropped a 3-1 BIG EAST contest vs No. 16 Georgetown on Saturday night at Corcoran Field.

The Musketeers moved to 4-3-1 (1-1 BIG EAST), while the Hoyas improved to 5-1-1 (2-0 BIG EAST).

NOTABLE

• Georgetown held a 12-9 advantage in shots, including a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal. The Musketeers took four more shots (7-3) than the Hoyas in the second half.

• Xavier committed four more fouls (18-14) than the Hoyas and had one more yellow card (2-1). Georgetown took four more corner kicks (5-1) than Xavier.

• Guilherme Vivaldini led the Musketeers in shots with three (one shot on goal). Seven different Xavier players took a shot in the match.

• Sohei Matsumori scored his second goal of the season on Saturday night. He is one of three Musketeers with multiple goals on the year and ranks third on the team in total points (4). Jabari De Coteau also recorded the first assist of his career.

• Jonny Mennell (4-3-1) took the loss in goal. He allowed three goals and made three saves.
