CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis head across the river to face Northern Kentucky on Saturday afternoon, set for a 4:00 p.m. start at Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Ky.

OPPONENT INFO
- The Norse are 0-2, falling 7-0 at No. 11 Kentucky and 4-0 at No. 2 Ohio State.
- NKU went 12-11 overall last season and 4-4 in Horizon League play, falling to Tennessee Tech in the Quarterfinals of the Horizon League Tournament.
- Xavier has won 18-straight matches over NKU since 2001, including a 6-1 win last season.
LAST TIME OUT
-  Ryan Cahill and Pascal Mosberger each pick up singles win and combine for a doubles victory, but Xavier men's tennis fell 5-2 to Ball State on Wednesday afternoon at Eastern Hills.
- In doubles play, the Cardinals and the Musketeers split the first two decisions. Xavier took court No. 1, with Ryan Cahill and Pascal Mosberger taking the 6-2 win, while Ball State picked up a 6-2 win on No. 3 against Alex Adamec and Charlie Temming. BSU took a 6-4 win on court No. 2 against Kyle Totorica and Cristian Gonzalez to take the doubles point.
- Ryan Cahill and Pascal Mosberger each also picked up a singles win. Cahill took a 6-4, 6-1 win on the No. 1 singles court, while Mosberger won on No. 2, 7-6 (4), 6-3.
- Ball State picked up the remaining four points, taking a 6-3, 6-4 win on the No. 5 court against Kyle Totorica. BSU then took three set wins on No. 3 against Charlie Temming (6-4, 4-6, 6-3), No. 4 against Marco Pennelli (6-7 (5), 7-5, 6-4) and No. 6 against Cristian Gonzalez (6-2, 1-6, 7-5) to set the final score at 5-2.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
- The Musketeers host Cleveland State on Saturday, Feb. 3, set for a 5:00 p.m. start at Eastern Hills.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six letterwinners from last year's squad that finished the season at 12-9 overall.
- The 2022-23 season marked a second-straight season with 12 wins, the first time the program had back-to-back 10-plus win season since the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
- The Musketeer returners include Ryan Cahill, Pascal Mosberger, Marco Pennelli, Jorge Santamaria, Charlie Temming and Kyle Totorica.
- Xavier also added a pair of freshmen, Alex Adamec and Cristian Gonzalez.
