Musketeers host Bulldogs on Friday, Rockets on Saturday

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis is set to host a pair of matches at Eastern Hills this weekend, starting with Yale on Friday, January 26 at 4:00 p.m. The Musketeers wrap up the weekend on Saturday, Jan. 27 against Toledo at 4:30 p.m.

OPPONENT INFO - YALE

Yale is 1-0 on the season after taking a 7-0 win over Quinnipiac in the season opener.
The Bulldogs went 11-13 overall and 3-4 in Ivy League play last season.
This is the first match-up between the two programs.

OPPONENT INFO - TOLEDO

Toledo opens the season on Friday, Jan. 26 at Dayton.
The Rockets went 20-4 overall with a 10-0 record in MAC matches last season. Toledo took a 4-2 win over Miami (Ohio) in the MAC Semis before falling 4-1 to Ball State in the Championship match.
Xavier took the last match-up between the two programs, a 4-3 win in Toledo in 2015.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

Xavier remains at home, hosting Indiana on Sunday, February 4, set for a 10:00 a.m. start at Eastern Hills.

THE MUSKETEERS

Xavier returns six from last year's squad that brought home the program's third-straight, and fourth overall, BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's fourth bid to the NCAA Championships.
The 2022-23 Musketeers finished the season 14-8 overall with a 6-0 record against BIG EAST opponents.
Among Xavier's returnees are 2023 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Imani Graham, and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Abby Nugent.
Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Emily Flowers and Abigail Siminski also return for the Musketeers.
Xavier added a pair of freshmen, Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato.
The Musketeers also added Elizabeth Pendergast, a transfer from Cincinnati, who joined the program in the 2024 spring semester.
