Women's Tennis Heads to MTSU for ITA Regionals

CINCINNATIÂ - Xavier women's tennis travels south to take part in the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals, hosted by Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The event gets underway on Thursday, Oct. 10 and runs through Monday, Oct. 14.
The tournament gets underway on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. ET with qualifying singles at MTSU's Adams Tennis Complex.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
- The final full squad event will be the Michigan State Invite, running from Oct. 25-27 in East Lansing, Mich.
- Select student-athletes will take part in the ITA Conference Masters Championships, played in San Diego from Nov. 7-10, competing for a bid to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, which will run Nov. 19-24, hosted by Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six student-athletes from last year's BIG EAST Championship squad, including juniors Emily Flowers, Abby Nugent and Abigail Siminski as well as sophomores Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato. Senior transfer Elizabeth Pendergast will make her debut as a Musketeer this season.
- The 2023-24 Musketeers wrapped up the season at 19-6, the most wins since the 2018-19 season. Xavier took home the program's fifth BIG EAST Championship and made its fifth appearance in the NCAA Championship.Â
- Xavier added a trio of freshmen to the roster, Clara Owen, Madeleine Rexroat and Natalie Smitek.
