CINCINNATI - Ryan Conwell scored a game-high 21 points on Saturday afternoon, leading the Musketeers to a 75-60 win over Wake Forest in the Skip Prosser Classic at Cintas Center.
Xavier moves to 4-0 on the year, while the Demon Deacons drop to 4-1.
Xavier closes its homestand on Wednesday, Nov 20 vs Siena. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. from Cintas Center with the game being aired nationally on FS1.

NOTABLE
- Xavier took its first double-figure lead, 17-7, at the 10:20 mark and led by as many as 12 points (19-7) with just under 10 minutes on the clock. Wake Forest closed within five points (26-21) with 4:33 left in the first half before the Musketeers closed the frame on an 8-4 run, taking a 10-point advantage (34-24) into the locker room.
- The Demon Deacons scored five straight points to open the second half and close within five points (34-29) with 17:14 on the clock. Xavier responded by going on an 11-4 run to build a 12-point advantage. Wake Forest closed within six points (50-44) with 9:14 left in regulation, but the Musketeers scored six straight points to regain their double-figure lead (56-44).
- The Musketeers led by double-figures for the remainder the contest, pulling away for the 15-point victory. Xavier went 6-for-11 from the floor and 11-for-14 from the foul line over the final nine minutes of the game.
- Ryan Conwell scored a game-high 21 points on 5-for-14 shooting. The guard was 4-for-11 from behind the arc and 7-for-8 from the foul line. He added four assists and three steals. The Indianapolis, Ind., native now has 14 career games with 20 or more points.
- Dayvion McKnight added 13 points on 4-for-13 shooting to go along with three assists and two rebounds. Zach Freemantle finished with 11 points on 5-for-13 shooting to go along with six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
- Marcus Foster and Jerome Hunter both chipped in eight points. Foster added three steals, while Hunter pulled down three rebounds and blocked two shots.
- Dailyn Swain had six rebounds, four points and two steals in 24 minutes of action.
- Dante Maddox Jr. finished with six points and two steals, while John Hugley IV had four rebounds and two points.
- Xavier posted a .404 field-goal percentage (23-for-57) and went 10-for-26 from behind the arc. The Musketeers were also 19-for-22 from the foul line.
- Xavier forced 18 turnovers, converting the miscues into 27 points. Xavier held a 15-9 advantage in second-chance points and and scored six more bench points (18-12). Wake Forest scored eight more points in the paint (32-24) than the Musketeers and held a 7-6 advantage in fastbreak points.
- Xavier had 12 steals, the team's second game of the year with 12 or more steals.
- Xavier hit 10 three pointers, the team's third game of the year with 10 or more three pointers.
- Xavier won the battle on the glass, 31-29. The Musketeers have not been outrebounded in a game this season and have a +5.0 rebounding margin on the season.
- Wake Forest finished the game with a .468 field-goal percentage (22-for-47) and went 5-for-15 from behind the arc. The Demon Deacons were 11-for-15 from the foul line.
