CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers open the 2024-25 regular season on Monday, November 4 vs. Texas Southern at 7:30 p.m. Xavier opens the regular season with five-straight games at Cintas Center.
Xavier has won 34 straight regular season openers, including all 24 season openers at Cintas Center. The Texas Southern game tips off XU's 25^th season at its on-campus home.

X FACTORS

• Xavier has won 34 straight regular season openers (33 at home, including the last 25). Xavier's last loss in a regular season opener came in the 1989-90 season to Southern Utah State at Cincinnati Gardens (97-90 on Dec. 2, 1989).
• Xavier has won all 24 season openers at Cintas Center, including last season's 77-63 win over Robert Morris on Nov. 6.
• Xavier's only previous meeting vs. Texas Southern came in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. No. 1 seed Xavier defeated TSU 102-83.
• Xavier returns two starters from its 2023 team that reached the NCAA Sweet 16, Zach Freemantle and Jerome Hunter, who both had to sit out last season for medical reasons.
• Xavier returns three scholarship letterwinners from last season led by Dayvion McKnight, who was second in the league and 19th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio. Dailyn Swain and Trey Green both made last season's BIG EAST All-Freshman Team.
• Xavier had six freshmen and only one returning letterwinner on the active roster for the 2023-24 season. This seasons XU has zero scholarship freshmen.
• Xavier has five transfer newcomers on the active roster that are all expected to play key roles: Ryan Conwell, Cam Fletcher, Marcus Foster, John Hugley IV and Dante Maddox Jr.
• Xavier head coach Sean Miller is beginning his 20th season as a college head coach, including his eighth at Xavier. He was XU head coach for five seasons from 2004-09 and is in his third season in a second stint. XU has been to five NCAA Tournaments in Miller's seven seasons, including two NCAA Sweet 16s (2009 and 2023) and a third in 2008 that ended in the Elite Eight.
• Xavier has a senior graduation streak of 125 that traces back to 1986, including current scholarship players Brad Colbert, Zach Freemantle, Jerome Hunter and Dayvion McKnight.
