Musketeers face Knights on Thursday at 3 PM
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis travels to Louisville, Ky. to face the Bellarmine Knights on Thursday, Feb. 22, set for a 3:00 p.m. start at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.

OPPONENT INFOÂ
- Bellarmine is 3-7 on the season, with wins over UIC, Tennessee State and Butler. The Knight enter the match with Xavier on a two-match winning streak.
- The Knights went 14-10 overall last season and 6-2 in ASUN play. BSU fell to Kennesaw State in the ASUN Quarterfinals.
- Xavier is 7-1 all-time against the Knights, winning the last six in a row. Xavier took last season's match 4-3.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Musketeers fell at Youngstown State, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon.
- In doubles play, the Penguins took the first decision, winning the No. 1 court, 6-2, against Ryan Cahill and Pascal Mosberger. Kyle Totorica and Jorge Santamaria took the No. 3 court, 7-5, but YSU clinched the point with a 7-5 win on the No. 3 court against Charlie Temming and Cristian Gonzalez.
- YSU made it a 2-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Cristian Gonzalez on the No. 4 court.Â
- Marco Pennelli took a 6-0, 6-3 win on the No. 2 court to cut the lead back to 2-1. The Penguins picked up a third point with a 6-3, 6-1 win on the No. 5 court against Alex Adamec.Â
- Pascal Mosberger took a 6-4, 6-4 win on the No. 1 court to cut it to 3-2, but YSU clinched the match with a 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-1 win over Charlie Temming on the No. 3 court.Â
- Jorge Santamaria picked up a 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 win on the No. 6 court to set the final score at 4-3.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
- Next week, Xavier is set to host Butler on Sunday, March 3.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six letterwinners from last year's squad that finished the season at 12-9 overall.
- The 2022-23 season marked a second-straight season with 12 wins, the first time the program had back-to-back 10-plus win season since the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
- The Musketeer returners include Ryan Cahill, Pascal Mosberger, Marco Pennelli, Jorge Santamaria, Charlie Temming and Kyle Totorica.
- Xavier also added a pair of freshmen, Alex Adamec and Cristian Gonzalez.
