Musketeers face Bearcats on Friday at 5 PM, Big Red on Saturday at 3 PM
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis is set for a pair of home matches, hosting Cincinnati at Eastern Hills on Friday, February 23 at 5:00 p.m. The Musketeers then return to host Cornell on Saturday, Feb. 24, set for a 3:00 p.m. start at Eastern Hills.
The Musketeers are 6-3 on the season after splitting matches with EKU and Michigan State last weekend.

OPPONENT INFO - Cincinnati
- Cincinnati enters the match at 5-1, with wins over Chicago State, Southern Indiana, Western Illinois, Duquesne and Eastern Illinois, with the loan setback coming against Miami (Ohio)
- The Bearcats went 8-14 overall with an 0-4 record in AAC play. UC fell, 4-0, to Memphis in the First Round of the AAC Championships.
- Xavier took a 4-3 win in last season's match-up and enters the spring with a four-match win streak.

- Xavier women's tennis fell 5-2 at Michigan State on Sunday afternoon, ending a five-match win streak and moving the Musketeers to 6-3 on the season.
- In doubles, MSU took the first decision, topping Abby Nugent and Ellie Brotherton, 6-1. Anna Roggenburk and Imani Graham combined to take the No. 1 court, 6-3, and Emily Flowers and Sofia Mazzucato took a 7-5 win on the No. 3 court to take the point.
- Xavier took a 2-0 lead with a 7-5, 6-3 win for Sofia Mazzucato on the No. 5 court. A 6-2, 7-5 MSU win on the No. 2 court against Anna Roggenburk and a 6-4, 6-3 win against Abigail Siminski on the No. 4 court pulled the Spartans even at 2-2.
- The Spartans took the 3-2 lead on a 6-4, 7-5 win against Emily Flowers on the No. 6 court, and then clinched the match at 4-2 with a 6-3, 7-6 (3) win over Abby Nugent on the No. 3 court.
- MSU took the final decision, a 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 win on the No. 1 court against Imani Graham to set the final score at 5-2.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six from last year's squad that brought home the program's third-straight, and fourth overall, BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's fourth bid to the NCAA Championships.
- The 2022-23 Musketeers finished the season 14-8 overall with a 6-0 record against BIG EAST opponents.
- Among Xavier's returnees are 2023 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Imani Graham, and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Abby Nugent.
- Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Emily Flowers and Abigail Siminski also return for the Musketeers.
- Xavier added a pair of freshmen, Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato.
- The Musketeers also added Elizabeth Pendergast, a transfer from Cincinnati, who joined the program in the 2024 spring semester.
