Musketeers face Vikings at 1:00 p.m.
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis heads out on the road, traveling to Cleveland to face the CSU Vikings on Saturday, March 2, set for a 1:00 p.m. start
Xavier is 8-3 on the season after going 2-0 last weekend, with a 7-0 sweep of Cincinnati and a 4-0 win over Cornell.

OPPONENT INFO
- Cleveland State enters the match at 6-4 with wins over Valpo, Ball State, Dayton, Radford, Bowling Green and St. Bonaventure.
- CSU went 15-8 overall and had a 5-1 record in Horizon League play last season. The Vikings topped Chicago State 4-2 in the Horizon League Semifinals before falling 4-3 to Youngstown State in the Finals.
- Xavier has a three-match winning streak over the Vikings after taking a 7-0 win last season.
WEEKLY AWARDS
- After continuing their win streak in No. 1 doubles and helping the Musketeers to a pair of team wins over the weekend, Imani Graham and Anna Roggenburk were named the BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week by the league office on Monday.
- Roggenburk, a redshirt senior from Avon Lake Ohio, and Graham, a senior from St. Johns, Fla., combined for a 6-1 win on the No. 1 court against Cincinnati on Friday, the first decision for the Musketeers on the way to taking the doubles point in Xavier's 7-0 sweep. The win over the Bearcats was the fifth-straight dual win over Cincinnati, a streak that dates back to 2019.
- On Saturday against Cornell, the pair clinched the point for Xavier on the No. 1 court with a 7-5 win to help the Musketeers to a 4-0 victory in the match. The win over Cornell marked the pair's ninth win in a row and 10th overall of the dual season.
- This is the third time this season the pair have been named the league's Doubles Team of the Week.

- Xavier now travels to Florida, where the Musketeers will face the Villanova Wildcats on Thursday, March 7.
LAST TIME OUT
- Xavier women's tennis completed a 2-0 weekend with a 4-0 win against Cornell at Eastern Hills on Saturday.
- In doubles action, Xavier picked up the the first decision, with Abby Nugent and Ellie Brotherton taking a 6-1 win on the No. 2 court. Cornell picked up a 6-2 win on the No. 3 court against Emily Flowers and Sofia Mazzucato, but Anna Roggenburk and Imani Graham clinched the point for Xavier on the No. 1 court with a 7-5 win, the pair's 10 win of the dual season and ninth in a row.
- Sofia Mazzucato made it a 2-0 Xavier lead, taking the No. 5 court, 6-3, 6-1, her seventh-straight singles win and ninth overall.
- Emily Flowers also picked up her eighth singles win of the season, taking the No. 6 court, 6-4, 6-2, to make it a 3-0 Xavier lead.
- Anna Roggenburk took a 6-4, 6-4 win on the No. 2 court to clinch the match for the Musketeers at 4-0.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six from last year's squad that brought home the program's third-straight, and fourth overall, BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's fourth bid to the NCAA Championships.
- The 2022-23 Musketeers finished the season 14-8 overall with a 6-0 record against BIG EAST opponents.
- Among Xavier's returnees are 2023 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Imani Graham, and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Abby Nugent.
- Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Emily Flowers and Abigail Siminski also return for the Musketeers.
- Xavier added a pair of freshmen, Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato.
- The Musketeers also added Elizabeth Pendergast, a transfer from Cincinnati, who joined the program in the 2024 spring semester.
