Lola Mancuso collected her 10th career hat trick in the game
CINCINNATI - Women's lacrosse moved to a 2-1 home record after falling to Akron on Saturday afternoon.
The Musketeers fall to 2-3 (0-0 BIG EAST) and the Zips advance to 2-4 (0-0 MAC).

• Lola Mancuso notched her tenth career hat trick against the Zips, totaling four goals as the squad's leading scorer. The sophomore attacker accumulated one assist, three ground balls, two draw controls, and four caused turnovers, tying the single-game program record for caused turnovers.
• Also contributing to the scoring efforts were redshirt sophomore midfielder Sawyer Walker and freshman midfielder Katherine Prentice with two goals each, and junior midfielder Julie Cassidy and freshmen midfielder Kirra Crowley with one apiece. Both Mancuso and Cassidy went 1-1 on free position goals.
• Along with her two goals, Prentice also accumulated a game-high four ground balls with two caused turnovers and one draw control.
• Megan Droney, the freshman midfielder, collected three assists on two goals for Mancuso and one goal for Sawyer Walker.
• Prentice led Xavier in assists and ground balls while Mancuso led in goals and caused turnovers.
• Mancuso, redshirt sophomore Sawyer Walker, and sophomore midfielder Kiera Armitage led the Musketeers on the draw with two controls each.
• Freshman goalkeeper Teegan Lannon secured a new career-high nine saves during 45 minutes of action in the cage.

• The Musketeers totaled 10 goals, 15 points, nine draw controls, 12 ground balls, eleven caused turnovers, five assists, and nine saves.

"It was a tough loss for us. Unfortunately, we gave the game away. But those kind of losses are important. Giving away a lead and losing with minutes left? Those are the types of games that sports make sports so powerful — learning from those moments and taking a stand the next time a game like that comes along.
