Musketeers host Creighton at Camargo Racquet Club on Saturday at 2 PM

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis opened up a three-match weekend with a 5-2 win over BIG EAST foe Villanova on Friday at Eastern Hills.

Xavier continues its three-match weekend on Saturday, hosting Creighton at Camargo Racquet Club, set for a 2 PM start.

The Match

In doubles play, the Musketeers swept all three courts, with Ryan Cahill and Charlie Temming combining for a 6-2 win on the No. 1 court, Cristian Gonzalez and Pascal Mosberger taking court No. 2, 6-5, and Kyle Totorica and Marco Pennelli pairing up for the 6-4 win on the No. 3 court.

In singles, Xavier picked up four two-set wins on the way to the 5-2 win, with Ryan Cahill taking the No. 1 court, 6-4, 6-2 and Pascal Mosberger winning on No. 2, 6-2, 6-4.

Charlie Temming took court No. 4, 6-2, 6-3, and Cristian Gonzalez won on court No. 5, 6-3, 6-4.

The Wildcats picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win on the No. 6 court against Alex Adamec, and Marco Pennelli went to a third set on court No. 3, falling 2-6, 6-4, 11-9.
