Women's Lacrosse fell at Louisville, 15-7, on Wednesday night
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Women's lacrosse fell to Louisville 7-15, on Wednesday evening. Â
The Musketeers fall to 3-7 (0-1 BIG EAST) and the Cardinals advance to 6-6 (2-3 ACC).
While Louisville got off to a 12-3 start in the first half, the Xavier squad was able to battle back and out-score the Cardinals 4-3 in the second half, holding them scoreless in the fourth quarter.

• Kirra Crowley, the freshman midfielder, was the leading scorer for Xavier against Louisville, notching two goals. Five additional Musketeers tallied a goal, including sophomore attacker Lola Mancuso, who extended her scoring streak to 16 games, and freshman midfielder Lily Hayes, who earned her first career goal.
• Sawyer Walker saw a career day with seven draw controls, six of those coming in the first quarter. The redshirt sophomore midfielder now ranks second in the program's single-game records for draw controls. Â
• Recording two draw controls apiece and following Walker's efforts were junior midfielder Julie Cassidy and freshman midfielder Machaela Henry.
• Kimaura Schindler, the freshman midfielder, and Katelyn McDonnell, the sophomore midfielder, accumulated the team-high of three ground balls each and sophomore midfielder Gianna Cua followed with two.
• Schindler also led defensive efforts with two caused turnovers, moving to two consecutive games with multiple caused turnovers. Six additional Musketeers forced a turnover on the Louisville squad.
• Marina Piszczor, the sophomore goalkeeper, collected a season-high 11 saves in goal in a complete game.
• Xavier out-paced Louisville in clear efficiency, ground balls, and draw controls.
