Five Musketeers tally six points against the Hoyas
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Women's lacrosse fell to Georgetown, 5-16, on Wednesday afternoon. Â
The Musketeers fall to 3-8 (0-2 BIG EAST) and the Hoyas advance to 4-9 (2-1 BIG EAST). The Hoyas move to 2-0 in the series history.

• Five Musketeers contributed to the scoring efforts for Xavier in the contest, with three of five going 1-1 on free position shots. Redshirt senior attacker Jordan Miller, sophomore attacker Lola Mancuso, redshirt freshman midfielder Samantha Balara, freshman attacker Lydia Laney, and redshirt sophomore midfielder Sawyer Walker were the five from the squad to get on the board. Mancuso, Laney, and Walker each went 1-1 from the 8m line, Laney's free position goal being the first of her career. Mancuso was also the lone Musketeer to notch an assist against the Hoyas.
• Walker saw her third game of the season with five or more draw controls, boasting six.. The midfielder also collected one ground ball and one caused turnover.Â
• Recording the team-highs in ground balls and caused turnovers was Machaela Henry. The freshman midfielder accumulated four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and two draw controls in the contest.
• Along with her goal and assist, Mancuso also notched one ground ball, one caused turnover, and two draw controls against the Hoyas.
• Julie Cassidy, the junior midfielder, also posted one ground ball, one caused turnover, and one draw control for the Musketeers.
• Marina Piszczor, the sophomore goalkeeper, collected seven saves in goal during a complete game.
• Xavier out-paced Georgetown in free position shot efficiency and draw controls.
