Musketeers face Hoyas on Saturday, Midshipmen on Sunday
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis travels east for a pair of matches this weekend, facing Georgetown on Saturday, March 30 at 10:45 a.m., the facing Navy on Sunday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m.

GEORGETOWNÂ INFOÂ
- The Hoyas are 10-5 on the season with a 2-2 record against BIG EAST teams.
- The Hoyas went 12-9 overall last season with a 4-2 record against BIG EAST teams during the regular season. The Hoyas advanced with a win over Xavier before falling to St. John's in the BIG EAST Tournament Semifinals.
- Georgetown took a 4-1 win over the Musketeers in the BIG EAST Tournament Quarterfinals last season.
NAVY INFOÂ
- Navy is 18-11 on the season.
- Navy went 23-20 overall last season with a 6-0 record in the Patriot League. The Midshipmen won the league tournament with wins over Loyola, Md., Bucknell and Boston U and fell to eventual national champions Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
- This is the first match-up between the two programs.
LAST TIME OUT
- Xavier men's tennis fell 4-0 at No. 54 Notre Dame on Sunday evening.
- In doubles play, Notre Dame took all three courts, winning on No. 1 against Ryan Cahill and Charlie Temming, 6-2, taking No. 2 against Cristian Gonzalez and Pascal Mosberger, 6-3, and taking the No. 3 court, 6-2, against Marco Pennelli and Jorge Santamaria.
- The Fighting Irish made it a 2-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Ryan Cahill on No. 1. A 6-0, 6-4 win against Jorge Santamaria made it a 3-0 Notre Dame advantage and a 6-2, 6-1 win against Charlie Temming on the No. 3 court set the final score at 4-0 in favor of Notre Dame.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
- Xavier returns home to host Tennessee State on Sunday, April 7 at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Center.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six letterwinners from last year's squad that finished the season at 12-9 overall.
- The 2022-23 season marked a second-straight season with 12 wins, the first time the program had back-to-back 10-plus win season since the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
- The Musketeer returners include Ryan Cahill, Pascal Mosberger, Marco Pennelli, Jorge Santamaria, Charlie Temming and Kyle Totorica.
- Xavier also added a pair of freshmen, Alex Adamec and Cristian Gonzalez.
