Musketeers face Navy on Sunday at 10 AM

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Xavier men's tennis opened its weekend on the east coast at BIG EAST opponent Georgetown, falling 4-3 to the Hoyas on Saturday afternoon.

Xavier continues the weekend on Sunday, March 31 at Navy, set for a 10 a.m. start.

The Match

The Hoyas took the doubles point with a 6-2 win over Ryan Cahill and Charlie Temming on the No. 1 court and a 6-3 win over Pascal Mosberger and Cristian Gonzalez on the No. 2 court.

Xavier picked up a two-set win on the No. 5 court for Cristian Gonzalez, 6-3, 6-2, while Georgetown picked up two singles courts in two sets, taking the No. 3 court, 6-2, 6-4, against Marco Pennelli, and the No. 4 court 6-1, 7-5, against Charlie Temming.

Pascal Mosberger battled back after falling in the first set on the No. 2 court to take the 1-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) win, and Jorge Santamaria picked up a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 win on the No. 6 court to give Xavier three points.

Georgetown took a three-set win on the No. 1 court, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5, against Ryan Cahill to pick up a fourth point.
