Women's Tennis Takes 4-0 Win Over UConn, Will Play for BIG EAST Championship on Monday

Xavier moved to 18-5 overall with the win, and will play for the program's fourth-straight, and fifth overall, BIG EAST title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. The Championship match is set for Monday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center.
The Musketeers will face No. 2 seed DePaul, which topped St. John's 4-0 in the Semifinals to advance to the Championship.
This marks the eighth time in the 10 tournaments held since Xavier joined the conference that the Musketeers will play in the BIG EAST Championship match. The Musketeers have advanced to at least the Semifinal round each season since Xavier joined the BIG EAST for the 2013-14 season.

In doubles play, Imani Graham and Anna Roggenburk combined for their 15th doubles win of the dual season, winning the No. 1 court, 6-4. Emily Flowers and Sofia Mazzucato combined for the 6-3 win on the No. 3 court, the pair's 13th win, to clinch the point for the Musketeers. Abby Nugent and Ellie Brotherton led 5-3 on the No. 2 court when the point was decided.
Anna Roggenburk's 18th singles win of the season, a 6-2, 6-0 decision on the No. 2 court, put the Musketeers ahead 2-0.
Imani Graham took a 6-3, 6-1 win on the No. 1 court, her 13th singles win of the season, to put a point on the board for the Musketeers.
Abby Nugent won the No. 3 court, 6-1, 6-4, for her 10th singles win of the season, helping the Musketeers clinch the match.
Musketeers led on the three remaining courts, with Abigail Siminski up, 6-2, 5-3, on No. 4, Sofia Mazzucato ahead, 6-3, 4-0, on No. 5 and Emily Flowers leading, 6-1, 3-3, on the No. 6 court when the Musketeers clinched the match.
