Three Musketeers record career-highs in the contest
CINCINNATI - Women's lacrosse fell to UConn, 7-19, on Saturday afternoon. Â
The Musketeers fall to 3-9 (0-3 BIG EAST) and the Huskies advance to 7-5 (3-1 BIG EAST). The Huskies move to 2-0 in the series history.
Marina Piszczor, the sophomore goalkeeper, broke her previous program record of 15 saves with 16 saves in goal against UConn, and set a new career-high in the contest.

• The leading scorers for Xavier in the contest were sophomore attack Lola Mancuso and freshman midfielder Kirra Crowley. The duo recorded two goals apiece and reached their fourth game of the season as joint-leading scorers. Â
• Additional scorers against the Huskies were redshirt freshman midfielder Samantha Balara and freshmen midfielders Lily Hayes and Katherine Prentice.
• Redshirt junior attacker Dylan Halloran and Balara were the lone Musketeers to notch an assist in the contest.
• Julia Frombach, the redshirt junior midfielder, collected the team-high of three ground balls and set a Xavier career-high. Â
• Sophomore midfielder Gianna Cua co-led the Musketeer defense with a team-high and career-high of three turnovers forced on the Huskies. Cua also collected two ground balls in the meeting.
• Following Cua's efforts was Julia Kogan, the sophomore midfielder, who tied her career-high of two caused turnovers in the BIG EAST matchup.
• Redshirt sophomore midfielder Sawyer Walker saw her fourth game of the season with five, or more, draw controls, and collected one ground ball.
• Mancuso's efforts continued across the board, where she collected one ground ball, one draw control, one caused turnover, and went 1-1 on free position shots, in addition to her other goal.
• Marina Piszczor collected 16 saves in goal with a .457 save percentage, which set a new program record and career-high for the sophomore goalkeeper.

• The Musketeers totaled nine points, 13 ground balls, 11 draw controls, nine caused turnovers, and 16 saves.
