Gil Weinstein Named Women's Basketball Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

Weinstein joins the Musketeers from the University of New Orleans
CINCINNATI - Xavier head women's basketball coach Billi Chambers announced the hiring of Gil Weinstein as the program's head strength and conditioning coach.
"We have hit the jackpot with adding Gil to our staff," said Chambers. "He is a rising star in the business! His emphasis on implementing basketball specific programing for our women will assist us tremendously in reaching our goals. We are grateful to have him join our program."
Weinstein spent the 2023-24 season as the director of basketball performance at the University of New Orleans, working directly with both basketball programs. He also worked with the beach volleyball team.
From 2022-23, Weinstein served as a strength and conditioning coach assistant at the University of Miami. He worked with both basketball programs during his time in Coral Gables. The men's basketball team reached the NCAA Final Four for the first time in program history, while the women's basketball team advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight – another program first.
Weinstein served as the head strength and conditioning coach at Even Yehuda basketball club and Target Basketball Academy from 2020-21.
Weinstein is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), a sport nutrition specialist (SNS) and is CPR/AED certified.
The Netanya, Israel, native holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Ruppin Academic Center ('21) and a master's degree in applied physiology from the University of Miami ('22).
