CHICAGO - The Xavier volleyball team fell to DePaul in their BIG EAST opener on Wednesday afternoon, 3-1 (23-25, 24-26, 25-16, 17-25).

After losing the first two sets by two points each, the Musketeers bounced back with a dominant set three win, highlighted by a 5-0 run that saw two kills and a block from Margo Kemp and two aces from Quinci Thomas. The team combined for five aces in the set and never relinquished their lead after a 2-1 start.

Xavier falls to 2-9 (0-1 BIG EAST) while DePaul improves to 9-4 (1-0 BIG EAST). The two teams will not face each other again during the regular season.

Logan Flaugh notched her third-straight double-double with 46 assists and 13 digs, matching her season-high in digs.
Anna Taylor hit .346 with 13 kills to go along with three blocks.
Emma Grace recorded her 16th career double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs while matching a career-high four blocks.
Margo Kemp had 10 kills and six blocks on a .350 clip.
Sarah Stevens tallied eight kill on only one error for a .538 clip, her second-straight match hitting above .500.
Quinci Thomas led the Musketeers' pressure from the service line with a career-high three aces.
The team's 11 blocks helped Xavier outhit DePaul .231 to .222.
The Musketeers recorded six aces but allowed 12 service errors.
