Musketeers to face Miami (Ohio), NKU and host Flyers
CINCINNATIÂ - Xavier women's tennis continues the Fall tournament schedule this weekend, traveling up I-75 to take part in the Dayton Invite. The hidden dual, featuring NKU, Miami (Ohio)Â and the host Flyers in addition to Xavier, gets underway on Friday, September 27 and runs through Saturday, September 28.

TOURNAMENT INFO
- The tournament will run throughout the weekend, beginning on Friday morning and running through Saturday at the Graul Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of Dayton.
- In the case of inclement weather, the matches will be moved indoors to the South Regency Tennis & Fitness Center in Miamisburg, Ohio.
- The invitational will follow a hidden dual format with Xavier facing Northern Kentucky, Miami and Dayton in singles and doubles action.
- Xavier opens play on 10:00 a.m. on Friday as they take on Dayton in singles action.
- Abby Nugent, Madeleine Rexroat, Abigail Siminski, Clara Owen and Ellie Brotherton will be competing for the Musketeers.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
- After the tournament at Dayton, the Musketeers will head to Murfreesboro, Tenn. on Oct. 10-14 to take part in the ITA Regionals, hosted by MTSU.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six student-athletes from last year's BIG EAST Championship squad, including juniors Emily Flowers, Abby Nugent and Abigail Siminski as well as sophomores Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato. Senior transfer Elizabeth Pendergast will make her debut as a Musketeer this season.
- The 2023-24 Musketeers wrapped up the season at 19-6, the most wins since the 2018-19 season. Xavier took home the program's fifth BIG EAST Championship and made its fifth appearance in the NCAA Championship.Â
- Xavier added a trio of freshmen to the roster, Clara Owen, Madeleine Rexroat and Natalie Smitek.
