Men's Tennis Picks up 4-3 Win Over Lipscomb

 The Musketeers return to Eastern Hills on Saturday, January 25, to host Furman, set for a 5:00 p.m. start.

In doubles play, Xavier picked up the first decision, with Pascal Mosberger and Alex Kotarski taking a 6-1 win on the No. 1 court. Lipscomb took a 6-2 win over Christian Gonzalez and Kyle Totorica on the No. 3 court, then secured the point with a 6-4 win on the No. 2 court against Charlie Temming and Ryan Cahill.
Xavier pulled even at 1-1 with the first singles decision, after Ryan Cahill won No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-3. Alex Kotarski put the Musketeers in front 2-1 with a 6-1, 7-6 (4) win on No. 5 singles.
Wins on the No. 3 court against Christian Gonzalez, 6-2, 7-6 (3) and the No. 4 court against Marco Pennelli, 6-3, 6-4, put Lipscomb back in front, 3-2.
Andrew Spurck took a 6-3, 7-5 win on the No. 6 court to tie the match up at 3-3 with one court remaining.
Pascal Mosberger clinched the win on the No. 2 court, taking a 7-6 (7), 6-4 win to set the final score at 4-3 in favor of the Musketeers.
