In doubles, Abby Nugent and Clara Owen combined to take a 6-3 win on the No. 1 court for the first decision, and Emily Flowers and Elizabeth Pendergast fell, 6-4 on court No. 2. Michigan State took a 7-5 win over Natalie Smitek and Sofia Mazzucato on court No. 3 to take the point.
Michigan State took a 6-4, 6-1 win against Elizabeth Pendergast on the No.1 court to move ahead 2-0.
Emily Flowers took a 6-3, 6-4 win on No. 4 singles to cut the Spartan's lead to 2-1.
Sofia Mazzucato fell 6-2, 6-3 on the No. 6 court to make it a 3-1 MSU lead and a 6-2, 7-5 win over Abigail Siminski on the No. 5 clinched the match for the Spartans.
After the Match was decided, Abby Nugent won on court No. 2 by default, 4-6, 6-4, 2-0, and Madeleine Rexroat took court No. 3, 7-5, 6-4, to set the final score at 4-3.
