Xavier Set for BIG EAST Road Tests at Marquette and DePaul

CINCINNATI - The Xavier volleyball team is set to head to Marquette and DePaul this weekend to face two teams amongst the top five in the BIG EAST standings.

Xavier is tied for second in the league with Marquette as both teams sit at 5-1 in conference play, with both teams' lone loss coming from No. 13 Creighton.

Margo Kemp was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second-straight week after helping lead the Musketeers to a 2-0 weekend at home against UConn and Providence.

The Musketeers defeated UConn in four sets on Friday night and swept Providence on Saturday afternoon in Cintas Center to improve to 7-0 at home.

Hattie Bray and Natalie Ring were both named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. Ring leads the league and ranks 14th in the nation with 4.57 kills per set.
Bray was named this week's BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week after averaging a league-best 1.63 blocks per set.
Ring was named Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season for her league-leading 4.38 kills per set.
MU has been receiving votes in the past four AVCA/Taraflex Division I Polls.
Marquette leads the all-time series with Xavier, 21-9, after sweeping both match ups last season.
