Xavier now heads back out on the road on Sunday, February 16, traveling to South Bend, Indiana, to face Notre Dame, set for an 11 a.m. start.
In doubles play, Xavier picked up all three decisions, with Sofia Mazzucato and Ellie Brotherton taking a 6-1 win on the No. 3 court, Natalie Smitek and Madeleine Rexroat combining for a 6-1 win on the No. 2 court and Abby Nugent and Clara Owen taking the No. 1 court, 6-4.
Natalie Smitek took the No. 6 court, 6-0, 6-0, to make it a 2-0 Musketeer advantage. Abigail Siminski took a 6-0, 6-0 win on the No. 4 court to make it a 3-0 Xavier lead.
Elizabeth Pendergast took a 6-0, 6-2 win on the No. 1 court to clinch the win at 4-0 for the Musketeers.
Emily Flowers picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win on the No. 3 court and Clara Owen took court No. 5, 6-0, 7-6 (4).
Abby Nugent took a 6-4, 6-1 win on the No. 2 court to set the final score at 7-0 in favor of the Musketeers.
