Xavier Collects Two More BIG EAST Championships on Day Two

Olivia Oyster repeats in the 50 free; Xavier's men win the 200 free relay
GENEVA, Ohio – Xavier men's and women's swimming wrapped up day two of four at the 2025 BIG EAST Championships with two more BIG EAST titles, and three new school records.
Olivia Oyster collected a new school record and a BIG EAST Championship on the women's side. Xavier's women also closed out the meet with a new school record in the 200 free relay.
Aiden Leamer set a new school record on the men's side in the 200 IM, placing second in the Championship Final. Xavier's men also picked up a BIG EAST Championship in the 200 free relay for the seventh-straight year to close out the day.
Day three of the four day championship beings on Friday at 10 a.m. with prelims, with finals set for 5:45 p.m.

2025 BIG EAST Swimming Championships - Day 2 by Xavier Musketeers on Exposure
Olivia Oyster collected a new school record and a BIG EAST Championship on the women's side. Xavier's women also closed out the meet with a new school record in the 200 free relay.

WOMEN'S NOTABLE
- Abby Bocian took part in the Championship final of the 500 free, placing seventh with a time of 4:55.38.
- Erin Ritz placed second in the B-Final of the 500 free, and Mary Sweetman and Teegan Madara earned a spot in the Consolation Final.
- Jordyn Libler took the top spot in the B-Final of the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.70. Julia Sweetman and Amy Van Son also took part in the B-Final.
- Ally Zaleski and Ava Tenhunfeld took part in the Consolation Final of the 200 IM.
- Olivia Oyster set a new school record and an NCAA B-Cut time of 22.31 in the prelims to qualify in the top spot of the 50 free. In the finals, she repeated as BIG EAST Champion, finishing first with a time of 22.57. Alexis Worrall placed seventh in the Championship final with a time of 23.23.
- Molly Dynda and Reese Turner earned a spot in the B-Final of the 50 free, and Norah Simich took part in the Consolation Final.
- Olivia Oyster, Reese Turner, Molly Dynda and Alexis Worrall closed out the women's event with a time of 1:31.74 in the 200 free relay, placing second and setting a new school record.
- Xavier's women have 368 points, standing in third place, after six racing events and a diving competition in which they did not compete.

MEN'S NOTABLE
- Luke Peterson placed fourth in the Championship final of the 500 free with a time of 4:25.88.
- Adam Lamping and Ryan Knipp took part in the B-Final of the 500 free, placing 10th and 11th respectively.
- Aiden Leamer set the top qualifying time in the prelims of the 200 IM at 1:48.04. He bested that time in the Championship final, setting a new school record at 1:47.02, finishing second.
- Nathan Wall placed 11th overall and Brandon Malicki finished 13th overall, competing in the B-Final of the 200 IM.
- Gage Hannewyk and Ethan Saunders tied for fourth place in the Championship final of the 50 free with a time of 20.40. Kyle Hudson touched just behind them in sixth with a time of 20.50.
- Aiden Leamer, Kyle Hudson, Ethan Saunders and Gage Hannewyk took the BIG EAST Championship in the 200 free relay, the seventh straight title in the event for the Musketeers, dating back to 2019.
- Xavier's men have 210 points, standing in third place, after six racing events and a diving competition in which they did not compete.
