Men's Tennis Tops Bellarmine for Fourth-Straight Win

Xavier remains in Cincinnati to host Omaha on Saturday, March 1, at Camargo Racquet Club, set for a 2:00 p.m. start.

Bellarmine picked up the first doubles decision, taking a 6-1 win on the No. 1 court over Ryan Cahill and Charlie Temming. Kyle Totorica and Christian Gonzalez combined to take a 6-2 win on the No. 3 court, the pair's seventh-straight win, and Alex Kotarski and Andrew Spurck combined for a 6-3 win on No. 2 to clinch the point for the Musketeers.
Marco Pennelli made it a 2-0 Xavier lead, taking a 6-4, 6-0 win on the No. 6 court. Bellarmine picked up a decision on the No. 1 court, 6-3, 6-4, against Ryan Cahill to cut Xavier's lead to 2-1.
Kyle Totorica took a 6-4, 6-3 win on the No. 5 court to give Xavier a 3-1 lead, but the Knights picked up back-to-back decisions, winning 6-4, 7-6 (3) on the No. 3 court against Alex Kotarski and 7-5, 6-4 on the No. 4 court against Andrew Spurck to tie the match at 3-3.
On the final court, Christian Gonzalez came back after falling in the first set to force a third set on No. 2, winning in tiebreakers, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (4), to clinch the match for the Musketeers.
