Musketeers take on Flyers at 11 AM at South Regency Tennis Center
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis  heads to Dayton to face the Flyers on Wednesday, March 26, set for an 11:00 a.m. start at the South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg, Ohio.

DAYTON
- The Flyers are 8-8- on the season with a 0-1 record in A10 play.
- Dayton went 11-10 overall in 2024, with a 4-0 record in regular season conference matches. The Flyers fell to No. 2 seed Saint Louis in the quarterfinals of the A10 Tournament.
- Xavier took the 7-0 sweep in last season's match-up in Cincinnati.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
- Xavier returns home this weekend, hosting DePaul on Saturday, March 29, set for a 2:00 p.m. start at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility if weather allows, or a 5:00 p.m. start at Eastern Hills if moved indoors due to weather.
LAST TIME OUT
- Xavier took the 7-0 sweep of BIG EAST opponent Georgetown on Saturday afternoon at Eastern Hills.
- In doubles, Clara Owen and Abby Nugent picked up the first decision, a 6-2 win on the No. 1 court. Emily Flowers and Natalie Smitek took a 6-4 win on the No. 3 court to clinch the point.
- Madeleine Rexroat made it a 2-0 Xavier lead with a 6-2, 6-0 win on the No. 3 court, and Elizabeth Pendergast won on the No. 2 court, 6-2, 6-1, to make it a 3-0 lead.
- Abigail Siminski picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win on the No. 6 court to clinch the victory for the Musketeers.
- Abby Nugent took the No. 1 court, 6-4, 6-2 to make it a 5-0 lead and Emily Flowers stretched the lead to 6-0 with a 6-3, 6-2 win on the No. 4 court.
- Clara Owen completed the sweep, taking a 6-4, 7-5 win on the No. 5 court to set the final score at 7-0.
THE MUSKETEERS
- The Musketeers are looking for their fifth-straight, and sixth overall, BIG EAST Championship, and look to make a return trip to the NCAA Championship.
- Xavier returned six student-athletes from last year's BIG EAST Championship roster including juniors Emily Flowers, Abby Nugent and Abigail Siminski as well as sophomores Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato and senior transfer Elizabeth Pendergast, who made her debut as a Musketeer this fall. Xavier also added a trio of freshmen to the roster, Clara Owen, Madeleine Rexroat and Natalie Smitek.
- Xavier wrapped up the fall schedule with Abby Nugent and Clara Owen becoming the first players in program history to compete in doubles at the NCAA Individual Championships. The pair earned the bid after advancing to the finals of the ITA Conference Masters Championships.
- Madeleine Rexroat also took part in the ITA Conference Masters Championships, representing the BIG EAST in singles. Elizabeth Pendergast and Emily Flowers competed at the ITA Sectional Championships as a doubles team, with Pendergast also playing in the singles draw.
