Men's Tennis Falls at Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - Xavier men's tennis fell, 6-1, to Jacksonville State on Saturday afternoon, ending a five-match win streak.
The Musketeers are back in action on Sunday, March 16, hosting Dayton, set to take place at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility on Xavier's campus.

In double play, Ryan Cahill and Pascal Mosberger combined to pick up a 6-1 win on the No. 1 court, but Jax State picked up wins on the No. 2 court, 6-3, against Alex Kotarski and Andrew Spurck, and on the No, 3 court, 6-1, over Kyle Totorica and Christian Gonzalez to take the point.
Xavier picked up a point on No. 5 singles, with Alex Kotarski coming back to take a 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 win, his team-high ninth singles win of the season.
The Gamecocks picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win on the No.1 court against Ryan Cahill and a 6-1, 6-2 win on the No. 2 court against Pascal Mosberger. Jax State also took wins on the No. 3 court, 6-1, 6-4, over Charlie Temming and a 6-1, 6-1 win against Christian Gonzalez on the No. 4 court. Jacksonville State also picked up a win on the No. 6 court, 7-6 (8), 6-2 against Marco Pennelli to set the final score at 6-1.
