Baseball Takes 11-5 Win Over Wright State at Hayden Field

Nolan Tucker, Connor Misch homer in win over Raiders
The Musketeers built out an 11-0 lead in the first three innings, starting with a six-run first inning, courtesy of four hit batters, two walks and a two-RBI double from Isaac Wachsmann.
Nolan Tucker drove in a pair of runs with his third home run of the season in the second inning, bringing in Connor Misch, who took a lead-off walk. Xavier added a third run in the inning after Aedan Anderson got on with a walk, moved to third on a a single from Jason Jelic, and scored on another Wachsmann double.
Carter Hendrickson was hit by a pitch to start the third, followed by Connor Misch's first home run of the season to make it an 11-0 Xavier lead.
Wright State scored three in the fourth courtesy of a three-run homer, and the 11-3 score held into the seventh when the Raiders added two more runs to cut the lead to six, 11-5.
The six-run lead held through the final 3.0 innings, with Jon Wylie picking up the three-inning save as Xavier took the 11-5 win.
Xavier wraps up a seven-game homestand this weekend, hosting Butler for a three-game series, set to start on Friday, April 4 at 3:00 p.m.

- Trevor Geddes came in to start the fifth inning, pitching 2.0 innings without allowing a run, giving up one hit and a walk.
- Jack Niedringhaus faced three batters in the seventh, issuing three walks.
- Jon Wylie entered with the bases loaded and no out in the seventh, going the final 3.0 innings without allowing a run, giving up just one hit, walking a pair and picking up a strikeout. Wylie earned the save, his first of the season.
