Musketeers take on Hoyas on Friday, Blue Demons on Sunday at Eastern Hills

CINCINNATI - The Musketeers return home to host a pair of matches this weekend, taking on Georgetown on Friday, April 4, set for a 5:00 p.m. start at Eastern Hills. The Musketeers return to Eastern Hills to host DePaul on Sunday, April 6, set for a 5:00 p.m. start.

GEORGETOWN

The Hoyas are 5-11 overall and 1-3 in BIG EAST play, topping Marquette and falling to St. John's, Creighton and DePaul.
Last season Georgetown went 15-8 overall and 4-3 against BIG EAST teams, topping Xavier in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament before falling to DePaul in the semifinals
Xavier faced Georgetown twice last season, falling 4-3 in Washington D.C., during the regular season and falling 4-0 in the BIG EAST Tournament.

DePAUL

The Blue Demons are 12-9 overall with a 3-1 mark against BIG EAST squads, taking wins over Marquette, Georgetown and Villanova, while falling to Creighton. DePaul will face Butler on Saturday.
Last season, DePaul went 14-10 overall and 4-1 in BIG EAST play, taking wins over Villanova, Georgetown and St. John's on the way to winning the BIG EAST Championship, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Demons fell to No. 5 Kentucky in the first round.
The Musketeers fell, 5-2, in last season's match up in Chicago.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

Xavier wraps up the regular season next weekend, hosting Marquette on Friday, April 11, celebrating Senior Day afterward.
The Musketeers will then host Arkansas on Saturday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

Xavier men's tennis picks up a BIG EAST win on Saturday afternoon, topping Villanova 5-1 at the Villanova Tennis Complex.
In doubles, Villanova picked a 6-3 win on the No. 2 court against Alex Kotarski and Andrew Spurck, then clinched the point with a 7-5 win against Pascal Mosberger and Ryan Cahill to take a 1-0 lead.
Xavier picked up two-set wins on three courts in singles. Ryan Cahill picked upa 6-1, 6-3 win on the No. 1 court. Christian Gonzalez won on court No. 4, 6-1, 6-2. Alex Kotarski took a 6-4, 7-6 (5) win on the No. 3 court, his team-high 11th singles win of the season.
Kyle Totorica took a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win on the No. 5 court, his eighth straight singles win in a row. Pascal Mosberger took a 6-3, 5-7, 10-4 win on the No. 2 court to pick up a fifth point for the Musketeers.

THE MUSKETEERS

Xavier returns six letter-winners from last year's squad, including All-BIG EAST Second Team selection Ryan Cahill.
The Musketeer also return Christian Gonzalez, Pascal Mosberger, Marco Pennelli, Charlie Temming and Kyle Totorica.
Xavier also added a pair of freshmen, Alex Kotarski and Andrew Spurck.
