Xavier set to host Georgetown for three-game series this weekend
FAIRBORN, Ohio - Xavier baseball fell, 4-0, at Wright State on Wednesday afternoon at Nischwitz Stadium. The Musketeers moved to 24-19 on the season and finish the season series at 1-2 against the Raiders.
Jon Wylie made his first collegiate start, not allowing a run in his 5.0 innings of work as the game went into the bottom of the seventh still scoreless, with only five combined hits between the two teams in the first six innings.Â
Wright State put four on the board in the bottom of the seventh to move in front. The Musketeers were unable to break through in the final two frames, falling by a final score of 4-0.
Xavier returns home to host Georgetown for a three-game series, set to begin on Friday, April 25 at 3 PM at Hayden Field.
