Carroll scores 29 in 89-75 win over the Bulldogs
CINCINNATI - Tre Carroll led five Musketeers in double figures as Xavier took an 89-75 win over Butler on Wednesday evening at Cintas Center.
The Musketeers improved to 11-7 (2-4 BIG EAST), while Bulldogs moved to 10-7 (1-5 BIG EAST)
Xavier returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 21, when the Musketeers travel to Omaha, Neb. to face Creighton. Tip-off with the Bluejays is set for a 7:00 p.m. ET tip on FS1.

- Xavier scored the opening bucket and never trailed, leading by as many as 13, 43-30, in the final minutes of the first half before going in up 44-36. The Musketeers led by as many as 23 in the second half before winning 89-75
- Tre Carroll led all scorers with 29 points, grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, and finished with a career-high matching five assists.
- Malik Messina-Moore finished with 15 points and dished out a career-best nine assists. Messina-Moore is averaging 16.9 points per game in BIG EAST play to lead the Musketeers.
- Filip Borovicanin added 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had a career-high nine assists.
