Four Musketeers hit double figures in 94-93 loss
OMAHA, Neb. - Tre Carroll led all scorers with 29 points as Xavier fell on a last-second shot, 94-93, at Creighton on Wednesday evening at CHI Health Center Omaha.
The Musketeers moved to 11-8 (3-5 BIG EAST), while the Blue Jays improved to 12-8 (6-3 BIG EAST).
Xavier is back in action on Saturday, Jan. 24, when the Musketeers host St. John's at Cintas Center. Tip off with the Red Storm is set for 2:30 p.m. on TNT and truTV.

- The first half featured six lead changes, with Creighton going up by as many as seven going in the break up three, 42-39. Tre Carroll led all scorers with 17 first half points, hitting 6-of-6 from the floor, including connecting on a pair of threes.
- Xavier opened the second half on an 8-2 run to take the lead less than five minutes into the half. Creighton used a pair of threes to move back in front, holding the lead into the final 6:30. A 9-0 Xavier run put the Musketeers back in front, leading by four in the final minute. Creighton closed the game on a 5-0 run, capped by a shot in the final second, off a missed free throw, to set the final score at 94-93 in favor of the Bluejays.
- Tre Carroll finished with 29 points to lead all scorers, shooting 12-of-14 from the floor after starting the game 8-of-8 from the floor.
- Filip Borovicanin finished with 16 points, led Xavier with eight rebounds and matched his career-high with nine assists.
- Jovan Milicevic finished with 15 points, hitting double figures for a fourth-straight game.
- Malik Messina-Moore scored 12, hitting double figures in all eight conference games so far.
- Xavier made 12 three pointers, its 11th game of the season with 10 or more three pointers.
- The Musketeers had a 44-36 advantage on points in the paint.
- Xavier finished shooting a season-best 56.9 percent (37-65), connecting on 12-of-24 threes after shooting 64.7 percent (22-34) in the second half. Creighton shot 54.2 percent (32-59) overall, hitting 13-24 from three.
