Musketeers face Cardinals on Saturday at noon, Buckeyes on Sunday at 2 PM

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis opens up dual play this weekend, heading to Muncie, Ind., on Saturday, Jan. 17 to face Ball State, set for a noon start. The Musketeers then head to Columbus, Ohio, to face No. 6 Ohio State on Sunday, Jan. 18, set for a 2:00 p.m. start.

BALL STATE

The Cardinals opened up the spring season against IU on Saturday, Jan. 10, falling 7-0 to the Hoosiers.
Ball State went 11-11 last season, falling in the opening match of the MAC Tournament.
Xavier took a 4-3 win in the last match with BSU, in Feb. 2025.

OHIO STATE

The Buckeyes will open the dual season on Sunday morning, facing Toledo at 10:00 a.m. before facing the Musketeers.
Ohio State was rated No. 6 in the most recent ITA team rankings after going 28-4 last season, winning the Big Ten regular season with a perfect conference record and advancing to the NCAA Round of 16.
Xavier fell, 4-0, in last season's match-up.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

Xavier will head to Louisville on Wednesday, January 21, to take on the Louisville Cardinals, set for a 5:00 p.m. start.
The Musketeers will head to Wisconsin next weekend, facing the University of Wisconsin on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 12 PM ET, then facing BIG EAST foe Marquette on Sunday, Jan. 24, also set for a noon ET start.

THE MUSKETEERS

Xavier returns a trio from last year's squad that collected 10 wins and advanced to the BIG EAST Semifinals, senior Kyle Totorica, and sophomores Alex Kotarski and Andrew Spurck.
The Musketeers added three transfers to the roster, senior Samuel Frizelle, who transferred from Florida Southern, junior Nick Herdoiza, who comes to Xavier from Northwestern, and Max Pettingell, a redshirt-freshman coming from Auburn.
Xavier also added a pair of freshmen to the roster, Bode Campbell, a four-star recruit out of Bloomington, Minn., and Lukas Grossman, a four-star from Atlanta.
