Mariyah Noel Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - Mariyah Noel was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. She earns the honors for the fourth time this season.

Noel averaged 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game last week as Xavier went 1-1. She posted a .517 field-goal percentage (15-for-29) and went 13-for-15 from the foul line.

The Kansas City, Kan., native had 16 points and three rebounds in the 71-61 win over DePaul on Jan. 13. Noel had 30 points and nine rebounds in the 66-64 loss to St. John's on Jan. 17. She is the first Xavier player to score 30 or more points in a game since Jan. 4, 2017 (Raeshaun Gaffney scored 33 points in a 72-64 win vs Seton Hall).

Noel and the Musketeers continue BIG EAST action at Creighton on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. ET from D.J. Sokol Arena with the game being aired on ESPN+.
