Xavier will retire the No. 52 jersey of Tu Holloway at halftime.

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 11-8 overall and 3-5 in the BIG EAST Conference, host the St. John's University Red Storm, 14-5 overall and 7-1 in the BIG EAST, on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at Cintas Center. The game was moved up from its original start time of 1:30 p.m.

Xavier head coach Richard Pitino and his father, St. John's head Rick Pitino, will be competing against each other for the fifth time as head coaches but the first time as BIG EAST rivals.

Xavier Athletics will retire the No. 52 jersey of former men's basketball All-American Tu Holloway, a native of Hempstead, N.Y., at halftime.

• Xavier, 11-8 overall and 3-4 in the BIG EAST Conference, had its two-game winning streak snapped with a 94-93 loss at Creighton on Jan. 21. Graduate student Tre Carroll led Xavier with 29 points for the second-straight game.

• Xavier graduate student Tre Carroll, leads the BIG EAST in scoring at 17.3 ppg. and in field goal percentage at 50.4 percent. He is 11th in the league in rebounding (5.7 rpg.) and tied for seventh in blocks (1.1 bpg.).
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST and is fourth in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.98. XU leads the BIG EAST in assists and is 10th in the nation at 19.0 apg.
• Xavier senior Filip Borovićanin has recorded seven double-doubles in scoring-rebounding, which ranks second in the BIG EAST and 30th in the nation. He was one assist shy of double-doubles in scoring-assists in each of the last two games.
• Xavier's Filip Borovićanin leads Xavier in rebounding (third in the BIG EAST at 7.9 rpg.), assists (third at 4.6 apg.) and steals (tied for ninth at 1.5 spg.). He is second on the team (fourth in the BIG EAST) in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.03.
• Xavier senior Malik Messina-Moore is second on the team in scoring for BIG EAST games at 16.3 ppg., which ranks tied for eighth in the league. Messina-Moore has raised his season average to 10.8 ppg. He is third in the BIG EAST in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.04.
• Xavier sophomore Jovan Milićević is third on the team in scoring at 11.3 ppg. and is sixth in the BIG EAST in 3-point field goals per game (2.1). He has averaged 17.0 ppg. over the last three games.
