In doubles, the first decision came on the No. 1 court, with Illinois taking a 6-4 win over Max Pettingell and Nick Herdoiza. The Illini clinched the point with a 6-4 win on the No. 2 court against Alex Kotarski and Andrew Spurck.
The first singles decision came on the No. 3 court, a 6-0, 6-0 win against Alex Kotarski. Nick Herdoiza fell, 6-0, 6-1, on the No. 1 court against No. 10 Kenta Miyoshi. Illinois clinched the match at 4-0 on the No. 2 court with #87 Adam Jilly taking a 6-1, 6-1 win over Max Pettingell.
After the match was decided, Lukas Grossman fell, 6-2, 6-1, on court No. 6, Andrew Spurck fell, 6-3, 6-2, on court No. 4 and Kyle Totorica fell, 6-2, 7-6 (6) on court No. 5 to set the final score at 7-0.
